Kayak Guide

An internationally recognized Sea Kayaker, Adventurer and lifelong guide; Jaime Sharp originally hails from New Zealand, though now calls Vancouver Island, Canada home.

Jaime has been kayaking seriously since the age of 13, starting in whitewater, playing competitive Kayak Polo and moving to sea kayak guiding for a living in his early 20’s. Jaime has over 20 years of international sea kayak guiding and coaching experience. He has worked over 4 seasons in Antarctica and loves the raw adventure this area brings.

Jaime has also pushed his personal kayaking, and is most known for leading the first ever successful sea kayak team to circumnavigate the Svalbard Archipelago over 71 days in 2015, and to paddle a double sea kayak self supported down the Grand Canyon over 10 days. Jaime is a Pro Paddler for Kokatat Paddle Wear and Lendal Paddles. Not only has imagery of Jaime’s kayaking feats been published in many magazines, as a photographer and writer, Jaime’s work has been published in many paddle sport/adventure publications, including Sea kayaker Magazine, Paddle Magazine, Globe Trotter and Sidetracked Magazine.

Jaime believes adventure is a way of life, and loves helping people experience a deeper level of adventure and love of the world’s wild places.
